Calmly you can handle the toughest of situations in life.

Updated: Apr 30, 2023

I was born and raised in Faridabad (Delhi NCR). I am a working professional – down to earth yet ambitious and, as my friends say, emotional too.

I was very fond of acting and dancing, but travelling has become my passion. When I was a kid, I always dreamed of going to high-altitude mountains with rivers flowing by, those imaginary pictures. It keeps me motivated, and I am sure they will till my last breath. Along with experience and learning, meeting unknown people, getting to know about different cultures, and tasting different kinds of foods makes travelling more fascinating.

Mountains attract me the most. Early morning walks, and mesmerising sunrises, it kind of helps me detoxify and relax my mind. I always believe that travelling with family and friends makes your bond stronger and you feel alive.

My first trip with friends was to Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, some 14 years ago. I remember we hired a taxi, which wasn’t a good experience due to many mechanical faults in the car. But once we reached - the beauty of Shimla Hill took away all the travelling pain.

There is one more incident I remember from another trip to Leh-Ladakh. We were six friends heading towards Sarchu, and our car broke down. The road was kind of deserted; hardly anyone appeared, not even vehicles. We panicked, as getting help seemed out of the question, and forgot about the mechanic. We tried to keep our car’s motion Control for some time, but we realised that it had to be taken to the mechanic. We were also in a dilemma about whether to continue our trip or return. We decided to drive back to our car for around 40-50 km with single gear working in search of a mechanic.

Someone has rightly said there is always something good hidden in the bad. While driving back, searching for a mechanic, we reached a place called Jispa, which turned out to be another majestic place.

The incident personally made me feel strong enough and to realise that calmly you can handle the toughest of situations in life.

After one or two bad experiences, most of us end up hating travel.

Great Mohit didn’t. Be like Mohit!
